There are ten different categories available for you to nominate in.  Please feel free to nominate in every category, if desired, but note you can only vote once for your favourite.

Click the information button on each category to see the criteria for that particular award and complete the form at the bottom of the page. If you want to nominate someone for more than one award this must be done separately. There is a 350 word limit on your reasons for nominating.

Nominations for our awards are open until Friday 30th October. After that we will host a virtual selection panel to agree our finalist for each category.

Criteria for SW/S Inspiration in sport

This award will recognise an individual who has overcome adversity, physical or mental, and continued to thrive in sport or has used sport to enable them. 


Criteria for Tru Wealth Volunteer of the Year 2020

This award is presented to person or group of people who in the opinion of the panel worked tirelessly in the background to support athletes or clubs during covid-19 and through volunteering and dedication makes a difference to their chosen sport.    


Criteria for Active School 2020

Recognising the difficulties during 2020 for schools, this award is open to all schools who recognised the importance of physical activity during lockdown and encouraged pupils through whatever means, to keep fit, healthy and active


Criteria for UWS Innovation in sport

This category is looking for the best and most innovative approaches from SGB’s during lockdown to help deliver and promote the development of girls' and women's sport. It also offers a wide scope for organisations who created on-line resources to engage with their members during the pandemic.

 


Criteria for Specsavers Most compassionate Role Model of the Year

This award will be presented to an individual at any level within the community, school or sports organisation, who by their exemplary actions and attitudes helped others to flourish during the pandemic.


Criteria for The Royal Navy Community Sport Champion – Junior

This award is open to teams and clubs at junior level within sport and will recognise the work carried out in their community during lockdown.  The application should reflect on how they worked with their local community to help others.  The team or club must be in membership of a recognised sporting organisation.


Criteria for Frame Excellence in communication - Coach award

The Coach of the Year award is open to coaches at any level in sport and will be presented to the individual who during the pandemic kept athletes in their club informed, connected and active, at all times, whilst recognising lockdown restrictions.


Criteria for Active Scotland Community Sport Champion - Senior

This award is open to teams and clubs at senior level within sport and will recognise the work carried out in their community during lockdown.  The application should reflect on how they worked with their local community to help others.  The team or club must be in membership of a recognised sporting organisation.


Criteria for sportscotland Young Sportswoman 2020

We are looking for an individual, participating at junior level, who through application was selected for representation on the international stage, pre or post covid.  Any athlete who has achieved excellence in their sport during season 2019/2020.


Criteria for MG Alba Sportswoman of the Year 2020

We are looking for an individual, participating at senior level, who through application was selected for representation on the international stage, pre or post covid.  Any athlete who has achieved excellence in their sport during 2019/2020 season.
